Veterinary referral

As part of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 all physiotherapists are required to work under veterinary referral. This is important as there are certain conditions that do not respond to physiotherapy and underlying conditions and medications that mean some treatments should not be used.

Working under veterinary referral means that we can share case notes meaning the animal gets the best possible treatment. Before each treatment a vet referral is required.

Remember that your animal insurance policy should cover this.
