Beachin dog therapy – hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy can be beneficial for all my canine clients and works well alongside physiotherapy. Jess has been to visit this centre and it comes highly recommended. Jess can also be involved if you wish.
Beachin Dog Therapy pool is a 24′ x 16′ heated hydrotherapy pool for dogs located in the Cheshire countryside. This large pool allows dogs of all sizes to swim freely. Housed in a heated log cabin, it provides a safe and clean environment in which to swim your dog.
Hydrotherapy is a weight free and low impact form of exercise beneficial in treating a wide range of conditions in dogs of all ages including:-
- Arthritis
- Soft tissue injuries and strains
- Hip and elbow dysplasia
- Pre and post surgery conditioning
- Weight loss and general fitness
- Behavioural problems
- Or just for fun

Irvap
Jess is a member of IRVAP which is the institute of registered veterinary and animal physiotherapists – professionals in animal therapy.
IRVAP aims to:
Promote the development of effective and safe practice in all aspects of animal therapy and healthcare, linking underpinning scientific knowledge to current clinical practice
Support the professional development and mentorship of members working in this sector
Organise an inclusive system of professional training and development for practice, with all members completing a mandatory annual CPD requirement evidenced prior to renewal of their membership
Promote research collaborations and scientific based approaches in all aspects of animal therapy and healthcare across the field of Professionals working in this sector
Facilitate effective communication and support of professional, clinical, business and educational matters between members
