I maintain the firm belief that these sessions, which includes having his back thoroughly checked, contribute enormously in assisting to keep him sound and in good health given he is now 18 years of age and obviously enables any possible problems to be acted upon and treated accordingly without delay.
I can highly recommend Jess who is an extremely competent , knowledgeable , conscientious and thorough equine physiotherapist . Jess has such empathy with horses and each session is never hurried and Morris’s muscle shape is always noted each month so we can monitor and compare it.
Morris injured his suspensory ligament in 2008 so he always has the use of a magnetic boot which continues to assist in maintaining him to remain sound. You are always given a copy of the Veterinary Physiotherapy Report which is extremely useful to keep for any future reference . Jess will always answer any queries you have in a clear and comprehensive manner whilst offering useful advice to benefit your horse.
Morris absolutely loves his monthly massages which is made clear via his body language , ie he stretches his neck right out on numerous occasions throughout his session and puckers his lips in addition to stamping his hoof indignantly when Jess stops!!!
If anyone is wishing to have their horse massaged by an equine physiotherapist who is extremely knowledgeable and competent but has a great deal of patience and empathy with horses I have no hesitation in recommending Jess Jones to assess and treat your horse.

“Jess came to treat my horse Pandora after she started to disunite in canter on the left rein. Several instructors told me it was a mechanical problem nothing but plenty of schooling wouldn’t fix. Upon grooming I noticed her twitch on the left side so called Jess an she found the problem straight away. Today I rode her an she was spot on an not once did she disunite in canter. Absolutely fantastic treatment an care an very highly recommend by myself.”
